Sweatin' to the oldies

This is Ja'net and I - or should I say, Marilyn - at the Halloween party this past weekend. It was a 50's themed party so I did the cardigan (ya know cuz I have like 100 of them!), scarf around my neck, rolled up jeans and rolled down socks. Those blue glasses are just hideous, aren't they? I didn't wear them most of the night, they were just obnoxious! It's funny how weird it feels to have glasses on again after having LASIK a year ago!

There has been so much going on lately, and I feel like I'm never home. The past two weeks I have rarely been home before 8:00. Let's see what I have been up to:

-Went to Oakland & Ann Arbor for fairs
-Went to MSU for a fair
-Stayed the night in a B&B in Grand Rapids
-Went to the GVSU fair
-Shopped 'til I dropped with my mom (Christmas shopping...wasn't supposed to spend money on myself. I ended up with 2 pairs of shoes - oops)
-Stayed 2 nights at my mama's house in Big Rapids (or "Big Rafids" as Chase calls it)
-Spent a day at the apple orchard & For-Mar with mom & Chase
-Worked late 1 night last week
-Ate dinner over grandma's house two times
-Went to visit great grandma - - - sadly, at 100.5 years old she is slowly on a decline
-Matthew's football game. It was cold & windy...
-Made pudding shots with Ja'net
-Checked out Hobby Lobby
-Halloween party

Ah, I've been busy. It's hard to maintain a homefront when you aren't home and you have a dog & cats messing the place up in your absence! Even though I complain about my animal companions, I wouldn't trade them for the world. It's so cute at night when everyone is all cuddled in my bed together - including me! It's sometimes hard to find a good spot for my legs with a 100+ pound dog hogging the bed, but I wouldn't have it any other way. YES, I'm one of those people who sleeps with her pets!
