Who are they versing?

Okay, I don't know football. I don't really like football. But I swear this Rose Bowl started at like 5:00 and it's still on. No wonder I took an afternoon nap! I could hardly sit through 3 hours of Brad Pitt in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." And staring at Brad Pitt isn't really work, it's practically a hobby! What makes ABC think that it's okay to drag out a football game for like 4-5 hours?

But, I need to just stop the complaining now. I don't have cable and unless I want to walk my rear to the TV to tweak the rabbit ears and try to get in the other 4 or 5 channels I can get, I might as well just deal with it.

In happier news, my great-grandma has seemingly defied death. Again! She sounded great today and has stopped bleeding. I'm telling you, she is totally the energizer bunny! So she falls asleep in her chair a lot and can't walk or beat that stupid drum, but she just keeps going and going and going and going...

I started the year off right today - with family. I had lunch with Che, Jeana & the boys at Senor Lucky's and then had dinner at my grandma's house with my mom & Jim. And I took a nap. And did laundry. And unpacked the box of pans I got on Christmas and made a box of things to take to Goodwill. I'm hoping that by leaving that box right in my living room, that will encourage me to deliver it to Goodwill. But I'm not holding my breath.

Tomorrow I go back to work. Such a bummer. Where did the last 2 weeks go?! I need to plan another vacation, ASAP! I don't care if it's just a week doing NOTHING, I need some relief.

Speaking of relief, I better get out of here and do something productive since I have to go to bed at a reasonable hour. When I say productive I mean changing my trash bag and maybe cleaning the pot of spaghetti that has been sitting in my fridge for forever-and-a-half and has sprouted mold. I'm seriously just contemplating throwing the pan away since I got a new one for Christmas. So wasteful! But who even wants to clean out a pot full of spaghetti, meat sauce and mold?

The moral of that story? Feed the leftovers to your dog before they get moldy.
