Every Little Thing She Does is Magic

So last night Rachel & I decided to go to the Loft after work to have a drink or two. Luckily for me, Andrea & AnaLisa opted out of working out and decided to join us. I kept thinking about this beer that I tried a few weeks ago when we were at the Loft, and couldn't wait to have it again...it was called Blueberry Ale. Well, it turns out there is an even better beer than that. I know, some of you are thinking how disgusting it is to have a beer that tastes like blueberries. Au, contrair. (PS - I have no idea how to spell that) The beer that is even better, is called Wheach. Kinda sounds like a classification of a fart, if you ask me. "Did you just wheach?" "Yes, honey...sorry, it just came out." Anyway, as you may have guessed - it is a wheat beer with a hint of peach. Loved it. Drank too much of it. Had a hard time getting up for work today. But I did it. WHICH SAYS A LOT CONSIDERING ALL 3 OF THE GIRLS I WAS WITH LAST NIGHT CALLED IN!! Highlight of the night? Getting the bartender to let us play flip cup at the Loft. Classic.

I have been reading some of my blogs from back in the day and I crack myself up. It's such a nice thing to be able to look back on them and laugh - mostly because they are from my college days. (You may read them if you wish at http://eelainac.blogspot.com/) Anyway, I was telling my coworker how I used to bitch bitch bitch about never having any money in college. Yet what was I doing a lot of the time? Going out to the bar, driving home (which, granted gas wasn't $3.99 then!), eating out, shopping and drinking more. I do many of the same things now but I am in a salaried position that pays a bit more than what I made at the ASC back in the day! And I think I definitly dressed better in college. When jeans was my everyday attire and I didn't have to worry about ironing things before I came in. *Sigh*

I have been reading another blog alot, and I encourage any of you who have a spare moment to read it. I read two websites pretty much religiously: http://www.perezhilton.com/ and http://www.celebrity-babies.com/; they fill me in on all of my celebrity gossip and goings on. Anyway, I came upon this entry on one of these websites about a couple named Todd & Angie Smith (he is a singer with the Christian rock band, Selah) who were going in for a c-section on a baby that was not expected to live. I had never heard of Selah, let alone Todd Smith...not to mention, I'm not much of a Christan rocker. But I sat down one day (at work too, my bad) and read this website and caught up on their heartbreaking story. There are no words to describe this site - just read it. It is http://audreycaroline.blogspot.com/ Anyway, Angie is a wonderful writer - in some odd way, I feel like I've known her for some time, and that she could be my friend. How dumb did that just sound? Anyway, I challenge you to read her blog and not laugh and cry with the entries. It makes you realize what a gift life is and how blessed we are each and every day we are on this earth. Hug your kids, tell your parents you love them and laugh as much as you can.

31 minutes until the end of the workweek. Hallelujah!
